______Tentativas Contra o Vento [Attempts Against The Wind] is a circular pray, a summoning of a vision. The transmission of a message captured by the body. A constant alchemic attempt to transform the matter body into something else, surrender to the wind for learning to endure and keep going.

______Tentativas Contra o Vento [Attempts Against The Wind] is a dance solo piece by the brazilian dancer Chico Lima. Result of an intense creative process guided by 3 choreographers whom the artist had already worked before (Andréia Yonashiro, Morena Nascimento and Lu Favoreto), and in collaboration with the artists Tiago de Mello (Sound Design) and Cauê Gouveia (Light Design), the choreography travels through different movement structures, physicalities that turn into a circular pray, a summoning of a vision, the psychography of a message captured by the body. In this piece, dance is presented as a constant alchemic attempt to transform the matter body into something else. Confronting the wind produced by two industrial fans, the dancer blends himself into the plastic materials presented in the piece, mixes and transforms into new forms between chaos and suspension. Surrending to the wind, the body seems to learn how to endure and adapt, finding ways to keep going on the process.
______In the performance space there is only the dancer, the audience and two fans. The spectators are free to travel during the performance and are called to witness the dancer’s quest in an alchemic dance, searching for the body transformation and its opening for invisible crossing forces of the space, light, sound and movement. The piece is result of an intense research that had the subjects of the wind and freedom as poetic starting themes.
